March 12, 2024---The Provincial Government of Cavite and the private sector proponents, Maplecrest Group Inc. (MGI), Profriends’ parent company, and the Megawide Construction Corporation jointly signed the Certificate of Successful Negotiation for the Cavite Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) project.

The proposed Cavite Bus Rapid Transit System (CBRT) is a transport solution that is intended to provide mobility to Cavitenos. An efficient mobility solution is a critical component to the growth and development of Cavite as it strives to create the next great metropolis. The project will address one of the Provincial Development Goals of Cavite in Transportation and Traffic Management to ensure basic but innovative mobility and transit alternatives for efficient movement of people and goods.

The CBRT System will link the Paranaque Integrated Transport Exchange (PITX) and traverse Lancaster New City’s strategically located spine road serving Imus, General Trias, Tanza ultimately connecting to Governor’s Drive in Trece Martires.

The CBRT project is in line with MGI’s advocacy of uplifting the life of the common man. Megawide, on the other hand, contributes its expertise in providing innovative, first world engineering solutions to Filipinos.

"This project is a game changer. It will redefine mobility for the entire province," said Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla.

"As the BRT is being done, there will be so many investments related to livelihood and lifestyle. We will be seeing quite a lot of jobs coming in," said MGI Chairman Guillermo Choa.

“The Cavite BRT allows us to seamlessly connect a significant portion of Cavite with Metro Manila through our PITX landport. We are thrilled to be able to provide world class engineering solutions to power the Cavite BRT project,” was the statement of Megawide Construction Corporation Chair, Edgar Saavedra.

Property Company of Friends, Inc. (Profriends), MGI's housing company, has greatly contributed in the increase of the population in the said areas as hundreds of families reside in its established communities in Imus and General Trias through the township development which is Lancaster, and Micara Estates in Tanza.

The whole CBRT project will have three terminals and 47 stations. This proposed mass transport system will offer reliable bus schedules, efficient ticketing, and a trip scheduling system that are all designed to promote convenient transportation, reduce traffic congestion, and pollution.
