These came from the close to 50,000 trees and palms planted by PRO-FRIENDS employees, homeowners, agents, and other business partners. “Toward the end of summer, we work with our Galing LNC volunteers to educate more homeowners on the value of and care for trees,” shares Mike Asinas, head of PRO-FRIENDS’ Landscape team. “As soon as the rains start coming, we start planting. The season is a great assurance for us that the saplings will thrive,” he adds.

While the country registered an average of 33 celsius during the month of May, residents of Lancaster New City attest to cooler temperature especially at night, as a result of the lush landscape. The Calachuchis and Bougainvilleas that are commonly known to many are accompanied by local trees such as Narra, Banaba, Kamuning, and Molave. Tabebuias, Lopantheras, and Coral Trees, through proper nurturing, also now abound in the township together with Bauhinias, Ditas, Katmons, Palawan Cherries, and Banis, among so many more. All these serve as a feast for the eyes to residents and their guests together with the Rain Trees and African Talisays that line up the entrance to Lancaster New City.
